Ann Curry

Ann Curry, an American journalist and photojournalist who has covered wars and natural disasters for nearly 45 years. Her focus is on the suffering of people in these areas. Curry has covered the conflict zones of Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo and the Central African Republic. When she was 22, she was the first female journalist for the station. After that, she moved onto becoming an anchor reporter and anchor for KGW, which is an NBC affiliate station located in Portland. When she moved to Los Angeles, she became a reporter on KCBS TV within four years of having moved into the city. Two Emmy Awards were won during the six years she worked for TV station KCBS.
